What's the difference between them?
So the Green Pony is a Maxon OD820 clone with clipping diode and bass shift options. The OD820 is essentially a Tubescreamer with a clean blend built in to the gain pot CCW=clean, CW=gain.

It looks like the FET mod alters the bias point and input frequency of the FET buffer at the input of the circuit. IMO, outside of the very slightly different frequency response, there will be little difference between the two versions. YMMV
