Looking for a stereo chorus build.

Any recommendations? I'm looking for stereo in's and outs. I'm on the fence about building or buying, but I've never done a chorus, so this could be interesting.

Would doing two independant chorus circuits in the same enclosure be cool?

Oddly enough I like me a ce2.
I did the stereo out mod from tonepad but found it not as satisfying as a single chorus out and a buffered dry signal.
It's richer somehow. Just my ears. YMMV.
Good luck in your quest Dino.
Ma throats as dry as an overcooked kipper.

Smoke me a Kipper. I'll be back for breakfast.

Yeah... a CE2 is pretty plush to my ears as well. I think that might be it, two CE2 in a single box. I'm wondering if phasing might be a problem (or and advantage?) in a stereo setup.

I sold my Korg SDD3300 a while back, and although it was big, and wasn't really useful MIDI-wise, I miss the gorgeous chorus that it provided. I used to run it full time at the end of my chain, and it was glorious. Hell, I could plug a lead into a bowl of soup, and it would make it sound good. I switched over to a Kurzweil Mangler, but it just doesn't have the same magic as the Korg. Besides, I'm slowly downsizing out of rack gear, and I want to get down to only pedalboard mountable stuff.

I'm currently using the Timefactor for chorus, but doesn't do chorus very well. It's passable, but it's missing that certain.... je ne sais quoi.

I've heard good things about this circuit, but another one that sounds really great to my ears is the older DC-1 Cool Cat. Looking at the net, at the price they go for, it might just be best to pick up two units and rehouse them. I wonder if using a voltage doubler arrangement to feed them the 18v would be feasible?  :icon_rolleyes:

I made a stereo ROG Tri-Vibe. Just one LFO, and a switch to make the two channels sweep together or ping-pong back and forth. Another switch makes it left-only or stereo in, and the original vibe/chorus switch is in there too. 3 sw, 2 pots. I love this thing!
2LFOs would be fun.

The Ce-2 is by far the best chorus I've had/played/built.  There's just this lushness that is hard to explain or recreate with other choruses.

I used the tonepad layout but then built the vero stereo daughter board
To the extreme, I rock a mic like a vandal.
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle.

While I have your ears on this, can I get some reviews of the strymon Ola? Looks and sounds quite interesting, and meets the stereo in/out criteria.

dino... if ya want a chorus and a whole lot more, check out the stupid pedal trick vid i just posted of
scruffie's clone theory.

it's not stereo in and out, but i don't think you'll care. really phat, lush, and analog in ways that the boss choruses can only hope to aspire to.

i will be able to check it out tomorrow LOUD and PROUD. ;)

it sounds great.. i like the philter control on it, it's cool. it's almost like two contour controls sweeping different frequencies. very very hip!!
