Deluxe Memory Man Vibrato sounds weak

Hi

I just got a big box Deluxe Memory Man with the 4 3008 chips in it. It's the one that has the bias control on the back. Everything seems to be working fairly well except that the vibrato is a little quiet. Is that something that can be adjusted with those trimmers in there?

I don't have an oscilloscope. Is one of those Mac scopes good enough to do the adjustments or do you have another recommendation?

Also, I read in one thread that is was a good idea to replace chips in there with 2071 chips. Is that still recommended?
