Hello guys, so I built a Brown Sound in a Box 2 stompbox from GGG recently, and I need to BIAS the Q5 (2N5457 transistor) to a Drain voltage of about 3.4 to 4 volts. I have a multimeter but I need help on how to measure it. Where to put each test lead, and what function of the multimeter to use. Theres a 100k Trimpot used to adjust the voltage of that Drain like in the image below.
So how can I measure it?

Set the multimeter to VDC (20V if there are multiple ranges). Put the black lead on GROUND (alligator clips can help keep it there to free your hand), and the red lead on the Drain of the transistor, adjust the pot until you get the voltage you need.

You mean on the GROUND of the PCB? Where all the grounds are connected?

Passaloutre

Yes. All ground points should be at 0 VDC, so any DC voltage measurements you make should be relative to that.

Do I need to do this with th pedal powered on with the 9vDc?
It keeps giving me 0v.

Sorry for silly questions, just afraid to screw everything haha

Ma throats as dry as an overcooked kipper.

Smoke me a Kipper. I'll be back for breakfast.
