I decided to get my very first DIY pedal get powder coated. Now, is it ok to thermally transfer the labels from a photo paper on top of the new powder coat ?
I printed the labels using a laser printer on a photopaper. I'm worried the hot iron might damage the new powder coat.....Any help is much appreciated
Thanks

hey aneeshprasobhan, I was wondering the same thing a few weeks ago, I think it's going to be dependent on the 'melting point' of the powder used, but from my research so far it seems most powdercoat will melt before the toner transfers off the paper

Is it applying a layer of Lacquer and then pressing the photopaper onto the enclosure, then rubbing till the toner tranfers ?

its hard to get acetone from near my place. Is just alcohol ok ?

No you really need acetone, Alcohol does not soften toner.
