XP-ALL project: Anyone else have trouble writing the XP200 EPROM?

I'm not sure how I could have this problem. I'm at the stage of the Digitech XP-ALL build where I need to write the actual EPROMs, got my GQ-4X fired up:

xp400... .bin ... writes perfectly passes verification several times.
xp300... .bin ... writes perfectly passes verification several times.

so far so good.

xp200_modulator_eprom_new.bin ... doesn't even get out of the gate, fails almost instantly at like 1%  in scratching my head why.

I'm clueless bc
A) I got the same result on several different EPROMS (EPROMS that were freshly erased, and certifiably blank)
B) I got the same result even though I redownloaded and extract the xp200 .bin file (so I don't think my download is improper)

What am I missing here?

As always, thanks for any help! I appreciate it!

I use the GQ-4X as well. What settings are you using on your burner? A screen shot of the app GUI would be best.

EDIT:

I just ran the 200 bin file along side the 200 code from the XP-ALL+ bin file through Diff, and it checks out as identical. Don't think it's a code problem. Besides, even if there was a code corruption, I don't believe that it would do anything to the burn process itself. The burner will simply burn corrupt code, and you'll see the outcome when you run the unit.

Verify that your GQ software is up to date, and reboot your computer. Start fresh.

that must be it!

I was still using USBprg v 6.18 but there is a version 6.38 update, I'll see if this fixes it.

Thanks!

Set the speed to 0 as well. By default, it sets the speed at +2 on start up, but I found that it's too fast for some chips, and it generates an error at some point in the burn.

I have another quick question about xp eproms.

I want to try doing the XP-ALL+ now. So I am not loading the XP100 from internal. Do I have it correct that the XP100 .bin file is coded to have a signal on the stereo channel?

The code of the 100 is mono, dry signal on one side, effect on the other. The 200, 300, and 400 are effect on both sides (stereo). However, in the XP-ALL+, this is controlled mechanically via a relay, not through coding. Since the 100 is a mono effect, we have to direct the dry signal to the second output. When in the other modes, we have to switch paths to allow for the second effect channel to be directed to the second output.

It's for this reason that the 200/300/400 units had added components for the second path, whilst the 100 was wired direct on one side.

Interesting I'll have to read the guide a little more carefully. I have the second version xp100 it has a big EPROM I just assumed it was running an updated code.
