Hello,
Please, can you help me fix this pedal?
I use it with my accoustic guitar. It has a P10 output and a XLR output.
I play in a lot of pubs... and one time, when i connected the XLR cable in the output, there was some spark and the XLR output is not working anymore.
I think the sound guy had the phanton power on in this cable.

Everything else works fine... the P10 output works too.

As i live in Brazil, there is not much  support... and fishman does not provide the schematic too.
So i trace back the circuit starting from the XLR output backwards.
The picture is the piece of the circuit is where the P10 output is changed to a XLR balanced signal.

The 2 AMP OPs are IC MC33178.
They are in the SOIC-8 format... here in Brazil i can find only in DIP format.

I think this IC have burned when the phanton power was connect.
What do you think?

Thanks!

Thanks,
Wagner.

I think it should tolerate P48 power. As many mixers can only switch phantom to all XLR inputs, it pretty much has to be able to tolerate it. Could the spark have been due to a static discharge or bad grounding of the mixer?
I don't know what a P10 output is. If it is a direct output from the pickup, then it's possible it will work no differently without power.
Make sure the battery voltage is good when it's switched on.

Hello Jim,
Thanks for the answers.
The P10 output is the umbalanced signal output from the device.
It has a balanced output (XLR) aswell.

This is an accoustic guitar preamp.

Only the XLR is broken.
The umbalanced output works fine.

Is there any other sugestion?

Thanks
