I am building a tube screamer clone and would like to add a flat mids switch. I tried a 10nf/47k in series from pin 1 to 6 of the IC. I can't hear a difference when the switch is engaged. Is the effect subtle, or do I have the wrong values? Thanks for the help.

Try connecting it a different way: pin7 in stage 2 to the connection between the resistor and gain pot in stage 1.

No luck with the 2 to 7 pin connection. I studied the full drive Vero and it looks like the resistor/cap is connected from pins 4 and 7. Will try that now.

Try this:

Looking at this schematic:

in place of C5, use a .47uf and a 270 ohm resistor in series. That's sort of a "flat mids-ish" type of thing. Sort of.

Could I get a similar response on the Boss SD1 if I scaled the resistor and cap?

So use a 0.047 cap and 2.7K resistor in place of C4.

You'd have to spice up the math on it for the values, but that's the gist.
