Digitech SC-2 Valve Distortion

Need help with this pedal, love the way it sounds but it stopped working with the battery. Works fine with outboard power supply. Checked the battery connection, it's getting to the board. Is there a protection diode to look for or something else I can check?

Welcome to the forum :) Could you provide pictures of the pedal in question? A quick google search didn't turn up a schematic, but I think with some good pictures we should be able to help you get it sorted.

Perhaps there is a switched terminal on the power supply socket that is supposed to connect the battery when the external supply is removed isn't making contact. On my vintage Big Muff they use the guitar jack plug to turn on the power and the jack body is used as the ground or 0V connection between input and output so they use the metal box for one jack as the ground connection. :icon_rolleyes: Nothing works when you take it out of the box.
