Damn straight, brother.  I fell asleep quickly.

I will confess to using a solder sucker to get the easy stuff out.  But when you have a big lug poking through a double-sided board,there can be a lot of solder you can't get at with the sucker tip.  And that's where the wick comes in.

Sometimes, it can be helpful to flow some additional solder on existing joints, prior to applying the sucker.  Makes the whole thing a little more "liquid", and amenable to suction.

Speaking of which, when is Dyson going to develop a $400 solder sucker to end all solder suckers?  Or have they done so already?  :icon_mrgreen:
