Need help figuring out two variable, passive filters one hp, and one lp that would sound the same and as close to original signal as possible when "pass" is not applied and have a decent "pass" at the same time.

Here is what comes to mind:

LP

In - 22nf - ! - [5k vr] - 1k8 - ! - Out
             [68k]                  [10nf]
                !                         !
            ground                ground

HP

In - 22nf - ! - [1k8] - ! - Out
           [50k vr]     [10nf]
                !              !
             [18k]      ground
                !
            ground

Values are choosen roughly.

I'm working on a harmonic trem/vibe thing, and the idea is that I should be able to even out the "harmonic" factor or make it more pronounced by adjusting filters.

I thought about an active filter, in which case I could simply use a tone control with a non-inverting amplifier after it, which I tried, and it worked fine, but this is the last resort since less parts is always better.

Hopefully is all makes sense.  :)

thanks.

Edit: I wrote 6k8 instead of 1k8 by mistake, fixed.

18k I'd use 22k (common in my parts bin).
Not much help really. I just doubt it would make that much difference to your ears.

You might get a bit of loss too. So that won't help Withey the parts count either.

I'll just get my coat and follow this.

Ma throats as dry as an overcooked kipper.

Smoke me a Kipper. I'll be back for breakfast.

I expect some loss, but hopefully playing around with caps in other parts of the circuit will make up for it.

18k is just to have 68k on the Lp filter.

I know that it is quite a challenge  :)

perhaps even impossible one..

I tried this on a low pass, and it seems to work somehow.

LP

In - 22nf - ! - [100k vr] - ! - Out
             [68k]             [10nf]
                !                    !
            ground           ground

It also means that I can get rid of a second half from a hp (which I haven't tested for sure yet).

HP

In - 22nf - ! - Out
           [50k vr]
                !
             [18k]
                !
            ground
