It works! Two relays in parallel with the suggested Schottky diodes. The AMZ microprocessor seems to handle this fine. Can't say how "safe" it is but I have pushed the momentary switch about 100 times and the relays latches/unlatches perfect all the time. Thanks everyone for your help.
