Hey all,
after building the Smash drive "killer version" i really like it. The only problem I had was there wasn't enough low end and the high end completrely overtook it and made it very harsh sounding. I changed a few cap values and it got better.
It has the normal Marshall Tone Stack on it but I notuiced that is was missing the 500K resistor from the 3rd lug of the mid pot to the wiper of the treble pot?? Besides that evrything else is dead on.

I have seen other Marshall tone stacks and all of them left out the 500K resistor in that spot. With the tone stack calculator you will see that if this resistor is left out the low end drops way off.
Why does everyone leave this out??

i was wondering about that,  but i just use the Guvnor version and change the 4n cap to a 4n7
