Thanks!

I wonder if the Ibanez Standard Fuzz will turn out to be the same fuzz as in the wau wau fuzz?

2SC828 ???

Does anyone know good substitution for this? I have original unnamed  wau wau fuzz (dont work) and if I could recreate the fuzz part I sure could tell if it is the same animal

 I mean I could hear if your circuit sounds the same as wau wau fuzz, have not hears standard fuzz:oops:

To Dan N:

it will be about the same, slight differences

25 years ago i traced also a wau-fuzz, and it had a 3k from source to ground. also 2 x 150k up to 9v at the base of Q4, Q5.

Anyone knows who traced the Wau-Fuzz ?

Basically every of these are derivates of the univox superfuzz.

I´ll post a schematic soon.

Tone switching is different.

To Nasse:

Better use BC 550 or BC 549.... less noise.

I did the trace and you are right. I got those values wrong. How nice to have extra eyes!

The simple tone switch on this thing surprised me. Sure works! Good wacky fuzz!

Thanks for all the schematics! If you ever run out of things to trace, I have a Cort analog delay/chorus/distortion/headphone amp hee hee.

I forgot to say:

the 2 electrolytics near the diodes are reverse in my tracing, like in the standard fuzz schematic and between the 3n3/10k-point and the balance pot//100k (2nd poti) was a 47k Resistor.

(But its more than 25 years ago, when i did the trace)

The rest is the same.
