Wouldn't it seem ligical to roll off some of the lows from the amp to the horn driver ? These are not really designed to reproduce lows and the chance of blowing the driver [no tcheep] would be lowered if bass were not allowed in it... using some sort of rolloff or crossover, you could get more volume without stressing the little driver's coil with so much heat and pressure..??
