Anyone noticed a difference in switch pop (or other sound quality) among Carling, MCM, and blue 3PDT stomp switches?

Mike Burgundy

a good switch should not pop, period. 'Course, the circuit and whatever's connect to in- and output can introduce DC offset and thus cause pops, but that's not the switches fault.
Carling and the Fulltone 3PDT are very good switches, as are (as far as I know) the Xwing switches Smallbear has, although they're reportedly not for really heavy-booted professional stomping. Miyama's pop, though. I don't know any other ones. Oh, Zachary Vex (ZVex)is  using a different switch, and knowing his quality, it's a very good one as well. See his site for details on what he uses. Dunno if you can get it though.
I think Steve's coming out with a shootout sometime soon ?
