Hello
I just build a Tonebender MKII with PNP Ge's and Pos Ground. Then i found this in AMZ's Lab Notebook section. http://www.muzique.com/lab/fuzzface.htm
It's about converting a PNP Pos ground Fuzz Face to Neg Ground, and says...

"This trick works with both silicon and germanium transistors and may even be adapted for other designs that use pnp transistors (like the Rangemaster) though it is possible that the dc configuration of some circuits may not be suited to it."

I tried it with my Tonebender and it didn't work. So, does the Tonebender have a dc configuration not suited to it :?:

Thanks

Hello,

IT SHOULD WORK.. try rechecking your wiring.... Ive done my PNP postive ground FF and converted it to neg ground...BUT!! it would oscilate at full fUZZ settings..never had the idea to put a 1,000uf accross the supply lines..... :) and THAT would eliminate?? the oscillation...

for the tone bender, its just like a FF with an added input buffer stage....:)

wish I had the time to convert it back to a negative ground.... :(

but.... I m tired.. hehehe... been so busy with school I havent even touched my soldering iron for 3 weeks... LOL :)
BE d Bezt, Urz D Rezt... RoCk ON!!!
