testing AC128 transistors

i need to find the hfe (gain) for these AC128s i have. i've seen this http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/fuzzface/fftech.htm but it doesn't seem to show me the leakage. i'm pretty sure i'm using my DMM correctly. could someone explain this to me in more human terms? thanks.

AC128s are PNP. Be sure you have your leads connected correctly.

i tottaly forgot i asked this. i got it working i think, but i'm such a moron when it comes to this dmm, and i the way the website reads it goes a little over my head. i have my cheapo multimeter and when i set it to 20 DCV and test a battery i get 9.5, which makes sense, and when i run it along the 2.4k resistor it shows .01, on 200m it reads 17.0 . really, i just need this entire process dumbed down. where to set my multimeter and what to do with the number.
