Sound of phase 45 VS phase 90?

Back in the day I had a MXR phase 90.  It was my girlfreinds fathers originally, so if I had to guess, I'd say it was from the seventys.  The reason I tell you all this is that I loved it.  I used it all the time before a rogue bass player stole it from me. (damn them :!:  :!: )

So I've been looking at building something close to it to try to capture that sound or something close.

So does anyone know: is the phase 45 simler?  Does anyone know what the differences might be between the two?  Any schematics for the phase 90?

Thanks for any input.  :?   I'd love to get that sound back.

Listen to Waylon Jennings. I beleive that is a Phase 45. At least it sounds like one.

I like the Phase 45.  Simpler to build, but still has a reasonably strong phaser sound.  Some people say it's very subtle, but with well-matched fets mine give plenty of zoom and whoosh.  For a really deep whoosh a flanger might be better than a phaser, anyway.

The phase 45 is definately a good pedal.
