Hi,

I'm building a compressor and my supplier is out of CA3080s.  What's a suitable replacement for this part?  I searched the archives but couldn't find an answer.

Thanks.

Did you mean CA3094 or CA3080??
better to be in bad taste than to taste bad

Although you can use an LM13600 r 13700 as a suitable replacement OTA for design purposes, neither of these willsimply sub for a 3080.

Do note that the LM3080 is the same thing as a CA3080, just a different manufacturer.  Most supply houses will be astute enough to recognize that there is no difference, but it wouldn't be the first time I've seen someone look up stock on a part using the prefix as a core part of the search string to the complete neglect of equivalents bearing other prefixes.

I'm assuming there is an NTE/ECG replacement but I don't know the number.

Thanks for the help.  I was hoping to order it from Digi-Key along with my caps, but they don't have anything.  I'll put together an order for Small Bear.
