The CA3094 is expensive and hard to find.  Francisco Pena's "Piedrita" workalike is decent and uses more obtainable and affordable components than an exact SS clone, but there is one heckuva lot of stuff on that board.  Consider attempting the Ross phaser clone at his site (Ropez).  It is a MUCH easier and cheaper build (try costing an LM13600 against a pair of CA3080s and the 4 transistors required to replace them in the Piedrita), and sounds just fine.  It belongs to the same broad class of phasers (OTA-based) as the Small Stone and can be modified for all the same tricks (Univibing, vibrato, phase-filter, ersatz ring-modulation, stereofying, etc.) as the SS.
