Tantalum caps

i just bought a HUGE (about 1000) bag of surplus capacitors, and upon sorting thru them i found about 20 tantalum caps at the bottom of the bag. what are these and what can i do with them?

Treat them like electrolytic capacitors in that they are polarized (i.e. they have a positive and negative).  The FAQ has info on this.

In short, try them out and see if they sound good to you.
