Dave Peachey has a terrific assortment of scanned E & MM and ETI articles on the various Digisound modules, some of which contain material relevant to pranksters here too (e.g., ring modulators).  Many have copious documentation and good quality PCB layouts.  Wortth taking a look at.  Lotsa good links too.
