Thunderchief - MPF 102 use

Has anybody used the MPF 102 instead of J201 in a Thunderchief building ? Any problem found ? Any mod necessary to run it with the MPF 201 ?

Generally, an MPF102 can be used in place of a J201 (and there are times that I prefer MPF102), but with a loss of gain.

They would probably work in the Thunderchief circuit, however the sound will not be the same as heard in the clip.

Check the FAQ for a list of J201 substitutes that may be available for you locally.
