The Waterfall...

In my SD-1 can't be the chip, also I put bigger caps on the Feedback clipping above OA 1, which of course took the high end down some..
This is a bit more of a Hydro plant sound lower than the usual high end hiss, and as it has midrange content rolling off highs in the middle of the cct or at the end doesn't seem to get it out.
This build was plagued by problems with a rubber measuring stick [DMM with low battery] and a 10k that measured about like a wire...plus amp problem at the end...
Basically it sounds great, but I'm thinking the rip-out and re-do of much of the second half of the cct somehow introduced noise...here are the theories:
Pulling too hard on a tied, soldered resistor to free it's leg.
  I accidentally overheated a cap.
Some kind of strange miswire reversed polarity on something polarized.
I'm almost ready to get a new board going for this [I took such care to get this one nice, neat, tidy and spread out where I could tune/debug...so any ideas about finding that waterfall in the works would be appreciated...I'm beginning to think it's just another one of 'those things'.
