I'm about to undertake my first build.  I was set and ready to go on the Lune but just saw the Bear.  What's the difference?  I would rather go quality vs. ease of build.

thanks!

I don't have experience with the Bear, but the Lune sounds great :)

I don't have hands on with either circuit, but for anybody who wants to compare, here are the links:

I think the best thing you can do with many of these circuits (especially distortions) is to build one now and build one later. :D Nobody can tell how you might respond to the differences as well as you can. Your tastes may vary over time too. I know mine sure do.

Best of luck on your build! 8)

Until I can re-design the TBear to get rid of that 4.7 meg pot, go with the Lune. I love the sound of the model that I did for the magazine, but I made a mistake in using a part for which I had no second source. Essentially, I need to sub a photocoupler (probably an NSL-32) for the high resistance and drive it with a "normal" value pot. Not a big deal, but means the board needs re-work and I just don't have time. The LFO is very good as is.
