DOD 250 for bass mods????

Sorry for the extremely newbie question but I just got into this.  I have a DOD 250 that I use on bass, what type of mods can i do to help it let so it doesn't cut as much of the bass out.  Would it just be changing a cap?  Thanks for the help in advance.

Hmm search the forum with that link up there, someone had a similar thread recently about bass overdrive/distortion.
