Anyone know where I can get a 2P4T rotary switch for my MXR Phase 100 I'm building? I'd like to keep the rotary, but will use a toggle if I have to.

This might be what you're looking for. For future reference, when you need something like this, go to Mouser or Digikey and enter the component type in the search field. I just entered "2p4t". It may or may not always work.

BTW, I believe the phase 100 uses a 4PDT selector anyways.

Okay. The 4PDT Selector, are you sure?

This is what I get from the layout I found:

I desperately need one of these or a replacement with a diagram of how to wire it.

That is a 4PDT switch. That's from GGG, correct? You can double check with J Sleep. He can recommend the exact switch from Mouser.

Yep. Lined it up to my circuit board and it looks exact so I trust it. Now where's J Sleep when you need him?

Are you building a new pedal from GGG's pcb, or are you repairing an old MXR?

Closer to the second. I aquired a NOS populated Circuit board and would like to make it come alive.

Fret Wire are you sure? Sure seems like it would be 2P4T

Fret Wire

That's what JD calls for in his material list. And that switch looks like a 4PDT to me. I could be wrong, that's why I told Tplyons to double check with JD. I belive it's just a terminology difference. I'm real curious myself, I have a block-logo phase 100, plus a nos board also.

That's a double pole 4 throw switch mate ;)
I don't like Holland. Nobody has the transistors I want.

Well, I bought the Lorlin. Any Idea what I can do with the other 2 positions?

It comes with a tang washer that lets you select the number of posistions. When you set it to 4 posistions, it won't turn to the last two. Maybe Mark Hammer knows of some mods for the last two if you want them.

If you are drilling your own enclosure I highly recommend Mark Hammer's 5 knob mod. Search the forum and you'll find plenty of ideas. The stock switch is fairly limited and even if you only replace the four way switch with two knobs for depth and resonance (three total), you can dial in significantly more tones. Plus, if you havent bought the switch, two alpha pots only cost about $2.50 which costs less than the switch.

Too late. It sounds cool but my buddy asked for a Phase 100 clone, no mods. He loves the thing, just can't afford it.
