Hi, I need some help for a school project. I need to get 4.25 V up to 17 V and was wondering if i used a Opamp and set the gain to 4, would it multiply the output by 4? What could i do to solve this problem

Can you describe things a bit more? Do you need the signal raised by a bias voltage to 17 or do you need a signal with 17V peak to peak of swing? What power supply voltage do you have?

So many questions. :D

I got 4.25VDC and need 17V DC. I also have 4.25VAC (measured with voltmeter) and need 34 VAC.

More info please. :D

Is this an AC signal of audio?, or is this a supply voltage?

If you're talking about supply voltages, the way to get 34VAC from 4.25VAC would be with a transformer with a 1:8 or 1:9 turns ratio.

Changing the DC is not so easy because you need to turn it to AC first. The way you go about that depends on the amount of current you need.

Information....  must have..... more.... information...... :o

The signasl are  500ma 4.25V supply voltages(one  AC and one DC). Need 17V (4X) from the DC and 34 (8X) from the AC
