Hi all,  just tried to fit this in an SD1, to try out the sound/quality, you know the deal, but got nothing at all ( tried two ).
Lug/dot was lined up correctly, i thought all 8 pin "dual" op amps were the same pin-out ?
Am i wrong on this one, or did i possibly get two "dead" op-amps ?
Anyone used them and have an opinion on the sound quality ?
Many Thanks,

Marty.

All dual op-amps don't have similar pin layout. If you want to now the pin layout of this 5534 or what ever then type this (NE5534 + pdf) in Google or what ever and ypu will get the info about this chip.

Isn't 5534 a single opamp? I think it is. 5532 should be a dual version of it if i remember correctly.

What ever the guy just didn't know that not all chips have same pin layouts.

The NE5532 is a dual OA. The NE5534 is a single OA.

'2's and '4's, singles, Quads, 386's, I like to just be able to have the pinout as a pinup, right there, then get it straight in my head, then go by the +'s and -'s

Oh, really? Which garden-variety dual opamps don't have:
1:O
2:- in
3: + in
4: V-
5: + in
6: - in
7: O
8: V+

?
