Hi there!

I saw this power suply at my local Maplins store, http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=040713133420516&moduleno=32754&Products=1, is it any good for powering fxs? It has a high current rating (1200mA) so in theory it could power lots of stomp boxes, am i right?

Hearing the daisy's grow.
I noticed when I daisy chained there was an increase in noise. Results vaired.

Yup, it's fine. I just avoid those multi-voltage things because there's always the chance that you feed you pedals way too many volts... but if you're careful it'll be fine.

Quoteso in theory it could power lots of stomp boxes

In theory, yes!  In practise, you get ground loops, some pedals like higher than 9V, some pedals are a different polarity etc etc.
