Hi!

I am thinking of building a univibe clone. I was just wondering how can i wire the status LED so that it flashes in time with the rate of the effect?

Hi Rob, I'm not sure what's the best way to do it, but did you do a search here? I believe it was discussed before...

Speaking of mods; is there a way to make the univibe do pure tremolo (=amplitude modulation)?

Koen

Yes. The Univibe's predecessor, the RT-16 did this. You modify the first phase stage to tap off the signal after the LDR, which acts to modulate the signal. It's not hugely involved, but there are several extra parts and some switching to knit in.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
