I'm getting together parts for a TS type OD, and am interested in using the 11 position detented pot featured on some boutique pedals.

Two questions:

- Where can I get a 1M 11 position detented pot
- Having never actually used one, is this a useful feature?

It seems like a good idea for live performance and just generally appeals to me.

Sorry I don't know where you might get those in the USA - however, if you are going to go that route, you might still consider using a 12-way rotary switch. This way you can 'program' your own settings by careful resistor selection (using a detented pot you would be limited to equidistant settings spread across the pot range). The only (slight) disadvantage with this method is that - as most rotaries are break-before-make - you might get a 'pop' or other effect through the circuit, depending on whether the switch is used to configure tone, gain, volume etc; with a detented pot there isn't any 'break', so this doesn't happen.

Thank you much! I searched Mouser, but obviously not well enough!
