Does anyone know if there is a database of any sort of mouser or digikey catalog #'s for the parts we use? That way we could all reference it whenever we need to get a quick something? If there isn't such a thing, maybe we could start a thread to help other diy'ers?

aron

Did you ever see my purchasing parts page from my home page?

I can add whatever parts people want me to add:

Whoops!!! no, I didn't see that...
I just usually come straight to the forum--very rarely any other pages--thanks, though aron-I wish I would've seen that a long time ago! :)

Whooops !! Man do I feel like a jerk. Sorry Aron but I've never seen that either. Apparently I need to be more alert. I do have a few parts that I have been looking for lately.

Tuberscreamer (TS-5) switches - Small Bear has the TS-9 replacements  which will (with some coaxing) fit in a TS-5 but it's not a drop in replacement.  I've fixed 5 or 6 of these for friends in the last year. A drop in would be nice.

Plastic, board mounted jacks (input/output)- again TS-5/Nobels ODR-1 type. I can't seem to find them and I need to repair a few Nobels pedals that have these type of jacks.

Any ideas?  Thanks

As I've been buying parts, I've started a database of common parts, maybe when it gets more complete, i'll post it on my website.

Yes, there is still a minimum, but they do ship priority mail if you choose.

its kinda a minimum.  They charge $5 if you dont reach $25.  But they have free shipping.  I dunno, their prices are high, but I dont think I hate them as much as I used to.  I don't really like their multiples and minimum quantities though....(resistors must be purchased in multiples of 5, stuff like that)
