these are some drawings that I made in ms paint, using smallbears technique of drawing with pixels. The black background and white lettering is a result of having to apply an ms picture it neg. effect to the drawings so they could be seen.

Save as GIF, not jpeg, smaller image size and no digital garbage around the boundaries of colors.

Cool :)

As for format, GIF might be better than JPEG for schematics, but my preference goes to PNG; they use the same approach as GIF and are often even smaller.

GIFs are more widely supported though, and since the last patent on them expired about a month ago, you can finally use them without fear of getting sued :)

Are you using 4049 to get the inverted/non-inverted voltages for the switches?
You don´t need that, you can use one switch as inverter too, just put the voltage to the "base", resistor from one input to +Vcc(also take the inverted control voltage here) and other input to ground.
Use small resistor (10k) on the "collector" and you can put a LED in series with it for status-light!

Thanks christian I will try that on the next build and I really appreciate all the feedback from forum members. In photobucket I noticed that it excepts bmp, so that would mean you could go straight from mspaint. I am still a little foggy why I couldnt get an black lettering on white background to post. It showed up as a black square with lettering barely visible. It was two shades of black but it looks cool anyway and I might just leave it that way.
