Hey dudes!

I'm working on my first stompbox project (DOD Overdrive).  Anyway, I got most of the bits needed.  When I got home I went through the list to check what was missing.  Anyway, I got this ceramic capacitor that has "9223" and "ZHZ" marked under that.  Anyone got a clue how many uF that is ?

Also I noticed that I got a DPDT (6 tags) switch instead of a 3PDT (9).  If anybody is doing nothing this saturday night, can you please brief me how the following wiring is modified with a DPDT instead of a 3PDT.

Also, any book recommendations for a newbie.  I'd like to learn how to get change tones using different resistors and stuff.

hey there. i have no idea about the cap, but you can find a lot of information about true and almost true bypass with or without LED here:

223 = .022uf..
103 = .010uf
224 = .22uf
104 = .1uf

do a search for "electronics assistant" and download it..very helpful

i believe in the DIY faq there are some diagrams of how to wire a dpdt

hope this helps

i highly encourage you to read RG's article on bypass switching, but in the mean while you can have a look at JD's very comprehensive switching diagrams that are really easy to hook up straight away.
