Just started a new topic, long threads are boring, don't you agree?

I just put some components together and came up with a standard Rangemaster thing, with AC128 Germ-y and 0.0047µ input cap (in Europe we say 4n7). I put it between my guitar and a Park G10, a stupid SS practice amp. When I roll the tone a bit down on my guitar (humbucker) I pretty get a nice LZ II tone actually. Reminds me of the fact Page used a lot of VOX Solid state.

When I compare "with" and "without" the treble booster, I finally really understand the power of that single transistor gadget.
I think I have to change the cap to 0.0056 or 0.0068, for less over the top treble (maybe putting 0.001 in parallel with the existing one)?

And yes, that sweet simple solo on Lemon song between the bass humping: It sounds very ok with the booster and the Park. You can never tell... don't you think?
