I posted Revision 3 of the Axis Face Germanium a couple of days ago.  This revision uses SK3861 NPN Germanium transistors, tweaked capacitor values, a resistor change, temperature stabilization, reverse polarity protection, power supply filtering and more!  I also posted NEW PCB and Layout files for it, too.

Be sure to check it out!

I checked it out, and it looks really good!!!
Thank you Philip for showing this to us !!!

I've been comparing Axis Face Rev. 3 to my production version Axis Face Silicon and I think that I like the increased treble bite of the production Silicon model a bit more.  It might not hurt to drop the value of the 0.01µF output capacitor to 0.0082µF or so...just to let a little more treble out.

Revision 3 does have a noticeable "smoothness" that I just love...it's what really sets Germanium and Silicon Fuzz Faces apart.

Anyhow...eveyone give her a shot and tell me what ya think!  :)
