I put together a Bobtavia tonight, the Spina' Tap mod going to ground.
It's getting a fairly pure octave up effect, but the volume seems 'squashed', much moreso above the 12th fret on the G string, it drops in volume compared to lower notes about 1/2.
I used 100k for the output pot, this would let more out.
So the question "what does the spinal tap mod do, and what is the 'original' or 'normal' connection if the ST mod were hardwired"?
...and the usual: 'not a complicated build and everything triple checked' claim
Nice shifting harmonics/octave tones, a little course on the bottom end, [all that seems in order for a Btavia] but high notes get too much attenuation, actualyl much of the fretboard seems less than unity.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.
