Easy Face question

I just built an EasyFace Fuzz and thanks to the EZ Build schematic, it worked the first time through. I have a couple questions though, it called for 250K and 500K pots, so I used a couple guitar pot's. The 250K pot for "drive" only seems to be working the last half of the pots rotation?? From 0 to 5, no change then from 5 to 10, there is an increase in fuzz. The 500K is cool and both pots are old but never used. Also, I did not have the exact Germ. transistor so I used an OC44. Would an OC75 (??) give it more gain? Thanks for any help.

no, no problem. that would probably have to do with the TAPER of the pots. get hold of a Logarithmic or LogA pot and try that out.
