Is there any way to double the voltage of a 9V DC power source? Some kind of chip or something?

MAX1044 or 7660 (also equivs like TCL1044 etc), see RGs page for the 'Neutron' envelope filter, or also his article there somewhere on this ... and also a billion threads in this forum! :)

Paul,

Over at //www.geofex.comunder circuit sweepings theres an

article on how

to do it using a Max1044 chip.

Its not quite double ve, about 17. something taking into account the drop

over the diodes.

Hope that helps

Cheers Ken.

Mike ,

You beat me...... :D

Cheers Ken.

Maybe, but you'll be building that 'special' circuit with the voltage doubler in it before me .... ;)

True,

         :D

Cheers Ken.

Don't waste your time for $ on the 7660, the MAX1044 is ten times easier to use since its oscillator is beyond the audio range.

I thought that I remembered something about that MAX1044 at GEO...
Thanks, I'll look into that.
