CA 3080...circuit segments?

I'm trying to 'spllice down' or hunt up circuit fragments that use the CA3080 Transductance amp like in my SS phaser.
 Simply becuase I have them laying around, and have no particular application for them, I'm looking for what it is that they do, in as many forms as I can get, then decide if there's an application I couuld use them for.
 I think I asked along these lines before...they've been sitting around for more than a year, so finding out they're actually 'useless' for anything but the SS won't pinch mcuh at this point...

edit: I got it now.

There are a jillion synth circuits on the net that use CA3080s .... and there's a book you can get from Midwest Analog Products that details using the CA3080 also.
