hey guys,
I have a 2nd wah pedal thats a Revision C that I took apart a while back cause the pot went dirty and I didnt bother with it.

so i wanna fix it up, put a new pot in it and mod it for a different vocing then my other crybaby.

Question is.. are there any diagrams on the net that I can use for the wiring of the input and output jacks?? or if anybody can take pictures for me if they have one I'd really appriciate it.

I found a pic of this, but not sure if it will work:
Wiring

Also, when doing the True Bypass mod using a DPDT switch, which one of 2 transistors (Q1 and Q2 I believe but it doesnt say) do I remove (high lighted in red in the pic)??  It looks similar to the Vox board in the pic. but not sure if their schematic or wiring is the same but the pic of the board looks the same:

Any info would help.

Thank you,
Duke

Your PCB doesn't seem to have that buffer circuit with the extra transistor which would be removed.  See here http://members01.chello.se/pastorn/fx/mods/dunlop.htm

Revision C uses the same circuit board as the Vox V847, so you can use this page:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.castledine/greenfuz/tb3.html

At the top of that page there's a link to a PNG graphics file that shows how everything is wired.

Thank You.. Thank You

I guess I need to follow the wiring diagram for the Crybaby?? Cause the Vox doesnt have a DC jack. My crybaby has one.

Thanks,

Hmm I forgot about the power jack on the Dunlops.  The link that I posted for Stuart Castledine's site also has a diagram for the Revision D Crybaby, which is probably more or less the same, and it does include the wires going to the DC jack:

I wouldn't cut the brown wire that's labelled as "cut."  Rather, I would just desolder it from where ever it was attached before (on the end opposite the press-on connector), put some electrical tape on the exposed conductor to make sure that it doesn't short against anything, coil it up, and slide it up under the circuit board in case you ever need it again.

Thanks Phillip and Rob.

I used the Rev. D wiring diagram and it worked excellent. Thank you.

Now all I need to do is get a new pot for it cause the one in there is dirty and not worth using. Also gonna replace 1 of the components (which ever it is) with a 100k trimpot to change the vocing of it.

See.. i wanna mainly mod it so I can make both pedals sound completely different. Is that possible??  or there will always be a similar thing between them in the tone/sound?

Thanks,
Duke
