OK, here goes...

I'm still on my quest to find a feasible way of making a resisto touch pad and incorporating it as a variable resistor on a fuzz circuit with a specified value...

I've made the pad, its not quite 5k exactly but it will do...

I wish to be able to control the pedal with both the touch pad and the pot thats supposed to be there in the first place....

It has been suggested by ZVex that I  try to put a vactrol across the pot, and control the vactrol with the resistor pad.

Should the Variable resistance of the vactrol be 5k also? (the original pot is this).

I have some vague idea as to how this will work and I can construct it, however I'd like to know a little more about how this will work...
