Mod ideas for a DOD pedal

A friend of mine gave me a DOD FX59 - Thrash Master. I want to do something different with it but I don't know what. The sound is a little bit too harsh. So I thought I'd consult the boards and see if anyone on here has modified one of these things, or could point me toward a starting point.

go to the main site, and go to simple mods/tips. try some of those. I don't have the board layout/schem. , so I'm sorry but that's all the help I can give here.
