I can't read German, but that "sorry, Mr. Sleep" comment sure caught my eye!  That can't be good.  Would one of our German friends care to give us the translation?

jsleep

No, no, it's not bad, they apologized for not giving credit for the source of the Octavia (near as I can translate with altavista).  Even though they called it a Roger Mayer Octavia, which it is not (technically), although Roger claims Tycho folks took the design from one of his not-so-good units.

I'll post all the gory details of this (if anyone is interested) after I get to the bottom of this Stratoblaster thing.  I'm tempted to let loose on a wicked rant right now, but I'll simmer a bit first ;-)

just got the printed new Nov.-issue: yes, on page 10 it`s written: sorry, Mr. Sleep...

JD, do you wanna see your strato-schematic in the Oct.-issue?

I'm not your German friend, but here's a translation anyway:

JD, why use a translator after I translated the article for you?

jsleep

Pure,

Yes, I'd like to see what they printed.  Thanks!

Arno,

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying about the translation?

JD,

You say somewhere in this thread:

Quotethey apologized for not giving credit for the source of the Octavia (near as I can translate with altavista)

Why would you use a clumsy translator when I posted a perfectly correct translation in the same thread where you mentioned this apologize (and asked for an English translation)   . Here it is:

JD: sorry, we`ll have to wait till tomorrow, until I can get to my scanner and upload - (it`s too late here, for me) - I`ll do it in the morning, and PM you the link, where you can find it - (in this delicate case especially, I don`t wanna publish a copyrighted article publicly).

btw.: I missed that other (translation-)thread after the first 3 postings...
the printed mag came out this friday...
shame: haven`t had the time to read that october-issue earlier...

Arno (my fellow-dutchman) did a good translation!
