hi
I found a distortion layout which I want to build but I can't understand what the switching symbols mean.
http://www.tonepad.com/getFileInfo.asp?id=79
There supposed to be 3 switches that select 3 different states but in the layout there are 6 switching symbols at all. Whats the wirig should be?
Thanks

This is a complex build for a beginner! You might want to consider trying something easier first.
Anyway:
switches:
on input and output - one DPDT (DoublePole - two switches in one, DoubleThrow - two options per switch) for true bypass.
S1, S2 and S3 are all DP3T. This means they have, PER switch, TWO coupled switches inside them (f'rinstance S1A and S1B), which both opt between 3 different positions. It's that simple.
The fact that the switches are numbered like they are is meant to be the giveaway.

I'm not realy a guitarist but I studied a bit elect.. I already built the TS from the same site on a breadboard,  but I wasn't really satisfied with it, the sound was 2 dull. The Sans Amp GT2 sound samples on the site sounded much better...
can u recommend 4 me another dist. I can build ?
