anyone know how to mod uglyface with envelope control?

I was looking at Tim Escobedo's circuits (http://www.geocities.com/tpe123/folkurban/fuzz/snippets.html)

and was listening to the clip of the uglyface modded with envelope control. He does not show how to mod the uglyface with envelope control, and I was wondering of anyone knew how or where.

The schematic of the Uglyface includes the envelope control, produced by the optoisolator.
