Finally tried out my new Phase 45 yesterday.  It fired right up... but didn't.  Worked fine, but no phase.  Finally realized I had the trimpot in backwards and it worked after that.

However, I find the rate knob a little tweaky.  The difference between slow and super fast is a very narrow sweep of the knob towards the end.  Not sure if there's anything I can do about it or if I should even worry.

Hopefully I'll get my Phase 90 done today.

I have the same problem and I know the solution even though I haven't done it. You need a reverse audio taper pot, or if you're willing to put up with it being backwards just wire a audio taper pot backwards and it will do the same thing. I didn't change mine cause I could only find that value in a 24mm pot and that would mean it wouldn't fit in the 1590B I've got it in.

RDV, Small Bear carries the 16mm 500k rev. log. That's the proper value.

Yes he does. I really don't have too much trouble dialing mine in though. It's got a nice swirl, but it tends to distort a bit when I play hard. I might have the trim set wrong, but I like the stronger swirl.
