I just want to tell that I noticed in literature that the 100/10k combination of the TS808 is better for driving a tube input than a TS9 (470/47k). The 100ohms are lower impedance than the 470ohms, and low impedance tends to drive a input tube (eg 12AX7) "softer" (electronic behaviour etc...).

I've never seen it in practice, yet in theory this means that the difference is only noticeable when driving a TUBE amp without much TS drive on its own. If you play a transistor amp, you better use all the dirve of TS at low level ;-) and then the TS9 circuit is just the bloody same!
